Our story

Les amis — the friends.

Every good thing on our counter started at a table full of friends who wouldn't go home.

It began simply enough: a shared weakness for proper gelato, the kind that has to be made the same morning it's eaten, and a stubborn belief that Chennai deserved a pâtisserie counter it didn't have to fly for.

So we learned the slow way. French technique — real entremets, laminated doughs, custards that take their time — folded together with the fruit, the milk, and the moods of home. Alphonso in summer. Filter-coffee instincts behind an espresso machine. Small batches, every single day, because gelato keeps no secrets and no leftovers.

The café came to be what the name promised: a place for friends. For a scoop after school, a slice after dinner, a slow pour-over behind a laptop on a Tuesday afternoon. Stay as long as you like — that's rather the point.
